This valentine was inspired by the Sunday Stamps color challenge and the Mojo Monday Sketch for this week:
Here’s the color challenge and sketch:
I created the background with watercolor and then flicking the watercolor brush over a semi-wet background to get the spots. Because of the dampness, you can see the spots spread out a bit!
I embossed the heart in gold to go along with the Desert Sand in the color challenge. Really like how this turned out. This is an old set which I’ve kept because I love the heart.
Then I dry embossed the pink cardstock and sanded the top of it to bring out the white core.
They had this cute little flower on the sketch..I wanted to keep the watercolor look so I did some watercolor, waited for it to dry, then stamped this cute flower on it. I fussy cut it out. Really like how this turned out and it’s nice to see some Spring colors! As it’s 13 degrees right now….Spring is looking really, really nice! Thanks for stopping by!
