Friends Fur Ever

Friends Fur Ever

“Friends Fur Ever” is a Story by Stacey mini-album that my daughter did.  I created the front “belly band” of the album to hold it close.  SG did the rest.  I only want to share the cover at this point so you can see how I used the Stamp of the Month (SOM) – S1806 A Bushel and A Peck on it.   The little girl in the set is great to use for some many things, one of which is to represent SG in things we create.

I used a retired pet stamp set from CTMH as well.  I tried to color the puppy on the front like SG’s dog, Huck.  Love our Shin Touch Markers!  SG love our fur babies and wanted to tell the story of how much she loves and enjoys them.  She picked the pictures out and did an awesome job.   On another post, I’ll share how this can be a great project for you and your kids (or grandkids).

I can’t wait to see what the new Story by Stacy products are going to be.  I decided these would be a fun way to “write” a letter to SG each year, sharing my hopes, dreams, and prayers with her.  One day, I won’t be here to tell her how much she means to me.  With these cute little mini-albums from Story by Stacy, I’ll be able to leave her a love letter for each year of her life, celebrating what she means to me.

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  I hope you all have friends fur ever – our pets that you can celebrate their stories with these mini-albums

Making Memories

Making Memories

While I’m here at the CTMH Convention making memories, I’m sharing this great layout using the Fresh Air Workshop Your Way and the Studio Sus Workshop.

Because I’m going to use these layouts to scrap pictures from our Appalachian Trail Adventures last year, I really enjoyed getting these layouts done.  These adventures with Aunt Lauren are a once in a lifetime adventure as she does not plan to hike the trail again.  Too much humidity for her!

The Picture My Life cards that you can cut out from one of the papers in the kit provide some great titles and journaling spots.   “Real Authentic Family Memories” with the word “Escape” through it, works so well because out on the trail, it’s real, it’s an escape, and we created some awesome family memories this way.

“Making Memories” is cut from the Thin Cut Alphabet.   Use the Fresh Air Compliments to make layers or clusters in different areas.   I used a number of different embellishments that I had around.  I love scrapping from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Take some time this summer to celebrating making memories.  Time comes and goes fast.

Off to Convention

Off to Convention!

I’m headed off to Convention today.  It’s been a crazy weekend.  I’ve had a sick kid again!  Poor baby.  The past 5 weeks have been really hard on her and she could definitely use all the prayers possible to help her get past getting sick!   She’s had a tummy bug two times, Scarlet Fever, and now Croup.  =(  I had planned to have some more art posted but time has been very limited with taking care of her.  It’s hard to be 10 and still.  Heck, it’s hard to be 40++++ and still!!  =)

So I’ll be at Convention and that means a new Annual Inspirations and a huge retirement list!  Check it out and get things you want before they go.  I’ll share what I can from Convention.  This is a huge event for Sticky Boy and Sticky Girl!  Who are these peeps?  Sticky Boy surfaced when acrlix stamps were released and you can find him around the Convention.  It’s a huge game and everyone loves it.

Sticky Girl showed up about 2-3 years ago.  This year they are getting married!

The festivities should be fun and I can’t wait to see how it plays out.  They’ll be getting married on Saturday at our Awards Banquet!

June things to keep in mind:

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Stay tuned for more on Sticky Boy and the upcoming nuptials.  Have a creative day!
