Hi Friend It’s the Last Day

Hi Friend

This is the last Cricut Shaker Card and my last card for the Spring Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop.  I hope you took some time to go over and look at the amazing work!!  =)

Using the sentiment “You are tea-rrific” from the Stamp of the Month S1703 Tea-rrific,  randomly stamp over the Kraft Cardstock with chocolate ink.  Use first and second generation images.

This is the last day you can purchase this stamp set so don’t miss out.  It’s got some super cute sayings and images in itBuild the shaker card on the Raspberry cardstock with your 3D foam tape.  I doubled up the tape and I sealed any openings with Liquid Glass to ensure the contents would not leak out.  Then you can add your shaker toppings.  Cover with transparency.  Add the top of the card on.  Lining up the card is much easier this way.  Use your shimmer brushes on the Cricut Sentiment and the steam from the cup.

Here’s the Design Space file (WARNING – all images were purchased images so if you do not have the cartridges, you’ll need them.  I’m happy to help you out with the CTMH ones):  https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/56171688

Hello Darling! Need a cuppa?

Hello Darling!

This is my next to last card for the Spring Coffee Lovers’ Blog Hop.  Be sure to join us as the cards are amazing as well as the sponsors.  You have one more day to play.  There are lots of great sponsors so you can win by entering your cards and by commenting on blog posts!!  =)

I used Mocha Moments for this card.  We needed some cards to give Starbucks Gift cards to for the Children’s Ministry leaders.  They work so hard!  Here they can take a moment to rest and relax with a cuppa!  The paper on the card is retired CTMH paper but one of my favorites, Blossom so I kept a stash.  😉

Use CTMH watercolor pencils and paper for the image.  Memento in for stamping which is not suppose to bleed when you watercolor but looks like it might have in some places when I went back over the watercolor pencil with the small watercolor brushes we have that already have the water in.   I added additional color and shading by pulling the color off the pencil, then adding to the image.   I took the glue pen and added sparkle to the steam coming off the cup of coffee and Liquid Glass on the coffee.  Waxy flax from my stash.  Dreamin Big Sequins with the Sugar Rush Dots in the middle.

We all need a moment of peace and quiet on the couch, right?  Here’s to all of the ladies in the Children’s Ministry at the MACC!  I hand it to them as they do a marvelous job and our daughter loves them.

Love You A Latte…I really do

Love You A Latte

With an anniversary around the corner on April 1 (and no, it’s not an April Fool’s Joke), this is a great card to have done.  It’s another one of my shaker card experiments with creating the shaker cards from the Cricut.  The Designer Space cut file will be posted on March 31 with the last shaker of the group.  It’s also part of the Spring Coffee Lovers’ Blog Hop.  You can click here to see their post, the amazing sponsors, and fabulous art work.

I used Sea Glass cardstock for the base and Kraft for the top.  I love Kraft paper for coffee cards.  I stamped a retired stamp from CTMH Coffee Stain randomly over the top of the craft paper.  The “Love You A Latte” says it all.  My husband is a coffee addict.  He’s got a K-Cup, an Nespresso, and I think he’s the holder of a platinum membership thingy with Starbucks, LOL.  Come to my house and you’ll get great coffee, tea, or espresso.

The sentiment is cut from the Cricut and piece together.  I used the Shimmer Brush to sparkle up the “you” in the sentiment.  For shaker contents, I used toppings from Queen and Company.   I liked how the new Neutral toppings mixed in with some of the older ones.  I think I like the old bottles better than the new packaging.  I put down some Dreamin Big sequins and added some Sugar Rush Dots to the center of them.  =)

This shaker card will be part of the extra shaker kits you can purchase at our Shaker Card Parties in April.

Take Life One Cup At A Time….it’s necessary

Take Life One Cup At A Time…..

Life can be really crazy and this little hedgehog mirrors my thoughts of being in a hammock, just drinking some coffee or tea, if you please.  I’ve been collecting stamps since 1987 which I suppose, dates me a little bit.  I pulled out this Penny Black stamp from 2000 “Nap Time” (I got this stamp back in Guam).  It’s so nice outside today, I felt like I could be in a hammock and take a nap!  This little hedgehog is me today.

The Penny Black Stamp does not have a cup on it so I borrowed a cup from another Penny Black stamp set “Mocha Moments” from 2015.  I got it from Simon Says Stamp.    I used my CTMH ink pads and a watercolor brush to color this.   I need to do this more often.  I have a wonderful collection of stamps that bring me smiles as I remember why I got them.

I stamped with Memento Ink on the CTMH Watercolor Paper (which really does make a difference).  On the cup, I colored it in and then went over the heart with the CTMH Shimmer Brush (like Wink Of Stella but way better for a few reasons – mainly more juice for less money)!  I put Liquid Glass over the heart and coffee to make them stand out a little more.

I’m showing this image for my friend Connie Estes who is a good friend from Guam.  Her husband Tim was a bee keeper  (as well as my personal locksmith because I kept losing my keys) before he passed recently.  I got this stamp in Guam and the bee reminds me of the awesome friendship I made there.  Connie and Tim both LOVED their coffee.  Tim leaves a big space here on Earth.  On the inside of the card, I used another sentiment from the “Mocha Moments” set.

I bet you all can guess who will be getting this card.  =)

Sunshine and Good Times

Sunshine and Good Times:

Taking a break from cards and coffee, here’s a Sunshine and Good Times Dreamin Big Camera Shaker Layout!  The left page of the layouts was inspired by Queen and Company’s sample layout for the Picture Perfect Kit.  Since I’m always taking pictures on both my camera and phone, this was a great layout to capture this.

My left page:My right page:

The Dreamin Big papers and compliments are awesome to use.  I think it’s my favorite paper of the SE1.  I had not used the bugs much so I opted to use this along with the zipstrips and a retired camera set from CTMH.  I also used 2 sentiments for a stamp set I received as a door prize at a crop from – .  I stamp on the tags and pennants from the Compliments.  I used the Pictures My Life cards from the Dreamin Big paper pack create the saying on the right page – “Sunshine and Good Times”.  How easy was that?

I used Black Shimmer Tape to add borders across both pages.  The Dreamin Big sequins were spread randomly through out the pages to add a little bling.  SG is always outside playing and collecting bugs.  Now that the weather is turning, I’ll be able to capture this.  The Camera Shaker is an added fun bonus to the page.  =)
