December 2022 Specials with CTMH!

It’s December! The last 31 days of 2022. Christmas. Holidays. It’s really hard to believe as I sit here watching some hummingbirds (yes, in Dec), fight over the feeder. Great news. The floors are in. We are moved back in. We finally are getting to set up the house. We have a few more major projects: natural gas, the guest bathroom update, murphy bed install, and the craft room! None the less, it’s feeling like home!

Here’s a card I created using some scraps from the Whimsy Fundamental Paper Pack scraps, the July Stamp of the Month (SOM) S1807 Highlight Reel, and miscellaneous ribbon scraps.  My scrap box is getting pretty heavy and I need to start creating from this to start using it up (or donate it to the school again).   I have a few packs of the Fundamentals that I’ve used for various projects with some leftovers.

Start off with a black base.  Take a few stripes of scraps that work together and cut them down to 5″.  The width was based on what they already were in the scrap bucket.  Distress with matching ink.

Use two different ribbon scraps to add some elements and dimension to the card.  Stamp and cut out the sentiment from the July SOM.  Mount on 3D Foam Tape.  Use the Gold Shimmer brush over the top of the sentiment to tie in the gold from the ribbon.

July things to keep in mind:

We had an amazing weekend and got a lot done around our house.  Flowers planted, outdoor furniture dug out and cleaned, and the patio swept and set up.  Look great and perfect for celebrating a weekend summer bash.  Are the tropical flowers beautiful?  I so miss being on Guam and all of the beautiful flowers you have there.

S1805 Classic Summer Bash is perfect for making the invites for a bash to welcome in the summer time.  =) Here is a great invitation to get the summer started.

It’s been a bit since we’ve had an invitation set and this is excellent.  You’ll be able to use this for anything you’ll need an invite all.

I love wood grain paper, don’t you?  Stamp the jar, then the ice cubes.  Stamp the cubes so they overlap the edge of the jar. Then fussy cut the jar out.  Stamp the lemons and cut out.  Put them on with one under the thin 3D foam tape.  A unique twist on this card is this:

The base is the wood grain with the invite.  The card part is the right side of the card where you can put a short note to each invitee.

As we march on towards Spring, the Card Buffet has been updated and is ready to go with several new card addition. Take this card for example.  It’s a different twist on shaker cards which are super popular.  Using the Oval Thin Cut dies (on sale 25% off this month or 30% in the bundle) and a 3×4″ Flip Flap, you can make this super cute shaker card.

Actually, using the smaller flip flaps to make shaker cards leave them thinner than if you make them with foam tape, shaker shapes, or shaker cups.  This is a nice feature when it comes to mailing them out!  =)

Here’s a fun easel card using S1801 Bloom and Grow, the January Stamp of the Month(SOM).  Using the Adventure Fundamental Paper Pack, the Adventure Ribbon Pack, and the Lagoon ink, you can create this card too.  I love this paper pack, ink color, and SOM:

To make this:

• Take your basic card base – 4.25 X 5.5.
• Score the top of the card at 2 1/8″ and make a mountain fold.
• Cut Lagoon cardstock piece at 1 7/8″ x 4.25″; Cut the Lagoon watercolor rose pattern paper at 1 5/8″ x 4.25″.  Adhere to the bottom of the front of the card.
• Put a piece of the Lagoon ribbon in the center.  You can wrap around and tie off or cut a length about 6 1/4″ and glue dot on the backside of the front.  Glue dot on either side where you want the tie.  You should have a piece sticking up. Cut and tie off.
• Cut another Lagoon cardstock piece 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and a White Daisy piece at 3″x 4″.  Stamp sentiment in lagoon in the center.  Assemble.  Attach on bottom part of the card only, about 1/2″ from the left side of the card.  If you tape to the top part of the fold, the card will not fold.
• 
• Make easel button with 1″ and 1/2″ circles and use Enamel and Glitter Duos in the center.  3D Foam Tape it up so that it will hold the fold up.

This is a Split Front Panel card so the card opens in the middle with the square panel being the closure on the card.  it’s layered over the top of the opening of the card.

The deer and Christmas tree are wonderful!  Just by putting the tree on top and the deer behind the panel, you get dimension in the card.  The red gems are retired however the Beary Christmas glitter gems will be amazing for replacing.   When you open the card, it looks like this:

To make this card, you’ll need:

• Z4047 Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Stamps and Thin Cut Dies OR
• D1730 Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Stamps (you’ll need to fussy cut)
• Beary Christmas Paper Pack
• Beary Christmas Coordinating Cardstock
• New England Ivy cardstock base cut to 5.5″ x 8″ – scoring from left to right, at the 2″ and the 6″ marks.  This should leave you with a 4″x 5.5′ center and 2 – 2″ x 5.5″ flaps
• Cranberry cardstock pieces cut to: 5.25″ x 3.75″ (inside of card), 2 – 5 3/4 x 1 7/8 ” – line up the sides with the edge of the card; and 3×3″.
• Background paper of choice – 2 – 5″x 1 5/8″
• White Daisy Cardstock – 2″x 2″, 5″ x 3.5″ (Inside of card), plus stamped images
• Memento Black Ink
• Cranberry Ink (check out the amazing ink pad design – it’s magnetic for easy opening!)
• Various Shin Han Touch Alcohol Markers (get the complete set and roll up for $148 – saving of $24.00)

Super fun and cute!   These cards make great lunch box cards for kids or a partner.   You can use them for co-worker gifts, Bible study group gives, atta-boy/girls, thank you notes, card for flowers and more.   The says are fun and just make you smile which is why it’s the Operation Smile set.  Children and adults will smile at the puns.

For every one of these sets that is purchased, donates $7.00 to a child’s new smile.  It takes $240 to pay for a child’s smile.   Not much at all.   Yet Operation Smile still has to turn families away because there are not enough resources and parents have to tell their children “no”, so a simple but life changing and necessary surgery.  It can even be life saving.   Can you imagine not being able to get the medical treatment your child needed to be able to breath, eat, talk, and smile?  To be accepted by their community?  It’s heartbreaking to think what it would be like if you could not.

 So what does the kit include?

The card kit includes the dies, card bases, envelopes, paper, and step-by-step instructions for creating 32 cards, and it is available at a discounted price!
