Mr and Mrs

Mr and Mrs:

I got asked to make a wedding card for some friends and the above card is the result.  I love the heart die which I got from Stampin’ Up.  Have been making a lot of them.  Anyway, they wanted something that was elegant, yet splashy to reflect the bride.

I used the silver shimmer tape to create the outline of silver under the main panel rather than a full panel of silver glitter paper.  I used 3D Foam Tape to raise the panel.  I used the silver embossing powder to heat emboss “Congratulations”.

I used one of the new Adventure colors – Raspberry for the heart.

Mr. and Mrs. is done in Black Memento ink and is a retired CTMH stamp set.  It’s a very simple card yet the heart die makes it pretty splashy as requested.   Thanks for stopping by corner and have a creative day!

You’re The Sweetest

You’re The Sweetest

I got this super cute card in my Seasonal Expression 1 swap.  Name was left off so I can’t give credit.  I just love it.  This doughnut stamp and die set plus the Sugar Rush can create so many amazing combinations.

I just love the colors in the paper.  The “sprinkle” paper from the Paper Pack was used to cut out the frosting and sprinkles for the doughnut. That sure saves time and makes the doughnut look great.  The rest of the paper patterns make great pennants.

Lately, I’ve been into white space on the cards and this is a good example of how you can take the white space and make it look fantastic.  Stamp the sentiment just above the pennants.  Use 3D Foam Tape (supplies below) used to give dimension.  Then add the wonderful new Sugar Rush Glitter dots to embellish and this equals sweet!

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Have a sweetest day by spending time crafting!

Sugar Rush Sweet Layout

Sugar Rush Sweet Layout:

Here we have another layout from the Sugar Rush Workshop Your Way (WYW).  You can download the directions for this layout and two others from my website.  If you purchase them from one of the crops I vend at or my CropTastic events at my house, the instructions will be in the WYW for you.

All the elements in the  “Sweet” title are in the Sugar Rush Compliment Pack (link at the end of the post).  Isn’t the ice cream paper just the cutest?  Calls for a trip to Cold Stone Ice Cream for some pictures!

I love that you can cluster together different compliment pieces to create a fun title.  I’m going to go back and add some Liquid Glass over the title “Sweet” and the chocolate sprinkles on the ice cream for some more bling.

Whisper seems to be such an odd color to use with these bright color yet it goes so well.

The second page of this layout uses the Picture My Life page for embellishments and the zip strip off of one of the sheets.  Always hang on to zip strips because they made great titles or accents when you need them.

Welcome Home Wreath:

When you pick up your Sugar Rush WYW, don’t forget the Welcome Home Wreath.  It’s super cute, fun, a fantastic piece of home decor for your house or a gift, and it can be FREE with a $60.00 order!

Isn’t this beautiful.  It’s not hard to make and everyone has loved it! It’s a sweet present.

Beautiful Card

I designed this card for a friend for a swap we did.  You’ll see more cards over the next few months from this swap.  This card features the Sugar Rush papers and collection along with the stamp set B1548 Journaling Prompts.

The donut and sentiment “this moment” comes from the Sugar Rush Cardmaking Stamp Set.  This set had the thin cut dies which makes using it “easy peasy lemon squeezy”!

Super cute, right?!

The technique in the card is stamping the image with two ink colors.  Start with your lighter color (Tangerine in this case) and add your darker color (Raspberry) on the bottom of the stamped image.

The polka dot ribbon is from the Enchantment Ribbon collection.  I liked how it looks a little like the sprinkles and picks up the red of the stamping.

Have a beautiful day!  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day,
