Final Day of Boxing Week and Wedding Card

Final Day of Boxing Week Sale

If you thought about making jewelry, here’s your chance to get 50% off the supplies!  Here’s what’s on sale this today until 5pm EST:

Wedding Card

I have a few weddings coming up and I love this very elegant wedding card created by Brenda H from the 50 Card Swap.  Recreate it by using your embossing tool or score board to create the grid pattern and a sponge dauber to do the shading in the bottom of the squares.   I found it easier to have 2 scrap strips of paper to create the corner so I could daub without worries of getting ink where I did not want it.

I love the black and shimmer ribbon.  Creates such a look of elegance to the card.  Mat the sentiment with black cardstock.   On Your Wedding Day is a cute, simple set that you can use for years for any wedding events you might have both to scrap and send cards.

I love our thin cut hearts!  Cut from our red glitter paper, you get enough bling to brighten the card up and still keep it elegant.  Red hearts = Love.

Washi Tape Storage Idea

Washi Tape Storage

I came across this great idea, especially after Christmas and all the gift wrapping for storing washi tape:

Talk about a great idea to reuse an old tape dispenser and have a great place for the washi tape.  Plus with the tape dispenser, you get the tear edge for easy tearing.  I can’t take the credit for this idea.  I picked it up off of one of the FB boards.  Another idea I’ll share quickly is this: Save all those Aluminum Foil and Saran Wrap boxes.  The washi tape fits right in and you have the metal tear strip for easy tearing.  Another great way to reuse or repurpose trash.  This also packs well for crops.  Hope you can make use of these great ideas.

Emoji Card and Boxing Week Sale

Emoji Card

I think as we rush towards the New Year, 2017, away from the craziness of 2016, there are a lot mixed emotions.  This Emoji Card reflects this!  The Emoji Stamp set is perfect for the teens and young adults in your life.  Have you seen all the Emoji “stuff” out in the stores?

Anyway, I can’t take credit for this cute card as one of the 50 Card Swappers, Betsy G, created the design for the card.

Don’t you just love the little faces?  C1669 Emoji is the stamp set used.  I’m amazed at the new language in our culture.

Boxing Week Sale:

It’s a new day and new items.  There are lots of great embellishments available today until 3pm MST or until they run out.  Here’s what’s available today:

Be sure to check back at 3pm MST (5pm EST) to see what goes up next or wait for tomorrow’s post.  Enjoy the emoji card.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

From my family to yours.

December Mystery Hostess!!

It’s Christmas Eve and earlier, I decided to make the December Online Orders a Mystery Hostess!

You have until New Year’s Eve 11:59 to place those orders! Every $25.00 equals an entry  into the drawing.  There is already $60.00 in hostess credit right now and one 1/2 price item (which can be anything in the Idea Books).  The Holiday Expressions is retiring on the 31st  so it’s the best time to get those items that you’d love to have.  The Snowflake Thin Cuts and Snowflake Embossing Folder are already sold out!

In the meantime, my house is full of family and friends, plus kids (3) and dogs (5)!!  Cookies are making, egg casserole is cooking as we wait for our friend to get off work, and merriment ensues on both levels between the adults talking/cooking and the kids playing charades downstairs  Fireplace is on, tree lights are on, and dogs are crazy with the excitement as well. Oh, did I mention our house is small???   I’m exhausted, crazy, and I would not change a thing. These are the times memories are made.  Time always marches forward.  Kids grow up.  Friends and family move away and sadly pass away. I thank God for the best blessings in the world.

Passing the blessings on to those who have ordered in December, enjoy the Mystery Hostess!  Someone will win something!  =)

Oh Holy Night

Oh Holy Night Card

“Oh Holy Night” is one of my favorite Christmas songs and this M Stamp is retired now.  This card was inspired by my friend Krista Hershberger, a fellow consultant.  You can make this card in the Come and Play Card Buffet – the last one is Dec 18th (this Sunday).

I love, love our Star Thin Cuts!  There are three different sizes of stars.  The price point is amazing – $14.95 for the three AND they are on a magnetic sheet.  No cutting the dies apart.  You don’t have to buy have the magnetic storage sheet.  The price point is great for the three dies.  Add in the magnetic sheet and you’ll be hard pressed to find a matching deal on the market.  They store fantastically in our 6×6″ stamp envelopes.  The stamp envelopes store in two different organizers, the Large Organizer and the Acrylix Organizer.

I used the Black Shimmer Ribbon which has gold woven through out it.  This ribbon is great for some may different events with both cards and scrapbooking as black and gold can dress anything up.  The gold glitter paper is used to cut the stars out as well as the gold strip on the bottom of the card.

I felt like the black shimmer ribbon and gold glitter in the stamps and trim dressed up the “Oh Holy Night” stamp, celebrating the special event.  Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.

Angel Card for the Buffet

Hark the Herald Angels

This is an older retired stamp set from CTMH that I’ve held onto because I really like it.  With the Holiday Come and Play Card Buffet (last one is 18th of December),  we use our favorite stamp sets!

I was able to use a lot of scraps to create the pennants on the top of the card.  I knew I was keeping the scrap box for a reason!  =)   I love the gold glitter paper.

I used the shimmer brush to “color” in the stars and snowflakes on the angle, both the black and the negative images.  I used 3D foam tape to pop up the angel.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my angel card.   Come by on Dec 18th to make your last minute Christmas cards

Oh Deer WYW

Oh Deer Workshop Your Way

When you purchase the Oh Deer Workshop Your Way (WYW), you will get printed directions from me to create this three beautiful layouts!

I love this layout because it shows how you can use the paper to celebrate a birthday.  This paper captures the elegance of an important event.  It pulls out the color of her dress. The outdoor background fits this paper perfectly.

Here’s another layout showing family, again, not Holiday and Christmas.  The joy and pleasure of this family shows through these pictures. Pulling in the red helps to brighten up the pages.  It’s great that the Workshop Your Way contains the Oh Deer Compliments which provides the great title ” Simple Pleasure”, the pennants, and other embellishments.  The white and gold twine is also included.

This layout shows the joy of the season – family.  This paper is just to perfect for all of the outdoor times you have from getting that Christmas tree, walks in the forest or park, sledding, and more. A lot of these events will happen in January, February, and maybe March.  The sad news is Oh Deer retires on December 31, 2016!  Don’t miss out on getting this incredible collection before it’s gone.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!
