Life is Wonderful 3

This is my last “Life is Wonderful Card” from S1507.  It’s truly a great stamp set.

Using Chalk It Up papers, I made this for a graduation card.

The White Daisy Pigment Ink Pad looks fantastic on the black cardstock creating the chalkboard effect.

Challenge: RS 174 and SIP 7

This card is a combo of the Retro Sketches 174 and the Stamps Ink Paper Color Challenge #7.  I’m still over in MT and working with limited supplies.

When the SIP challenge posted up, I loved the colors so much I ran down to Micheal’s to pick up 3 sheets of cardstock!

Then Retro Sketches came around and I got really excited!  rs174

I found this retired CTMH stamp set from June 2015  Ice Cream Dream S1506.

You have to love how the colors scream “summer” and “summer” means ice cream (at least for our family).  Added a few of my foamy bling and some Wink of Stella to finish it off.

Last but not least, Simon Says Stamp posted an “Anything Goes” challenge!   Gotta love it!!

Operation Smile

I’m not the best about sharing Operation Smile and I need to be better.  Operation Smile is a wonderful organization who’s focused on providing children with cleft palette defects with operations to fix this.  It’s truly amazing what $240.00 can provide for a child!

This video is amazing to show you how important Operation Smile is:

Close to My Heart has been teamed up with Operation Smile for as long as I can remember. When you purchase stamp sets designated for Operation Smile, like this one below, $7.00 is donated:D1653 Happy Everything WM

We are now selling T-Shirts to support Operation Smile and $10.00 of every shirt will be donated!

Aren’t they super cute??  Get yours today ~ They are $25.00 and $10.00 of this goes to Operation Smile! My goal this year is to raise $500.00 – enough money to provide 2 children with a life changing surgery.   I personally can’t imagine being a parent and not being able to get a surgery for my child because either I could not afford it or the current health care system can’t provide it.  When I see the groups of parents and children waiting for assessments to see if they qualify for the surgery, it breaks my heart.

So thanks for helping me reach my goal of raising $500.00 and supporting Operation Smile.  2 children, somewhere, will appreciate being able to eat, breath, talk, and smile because of your generosity.

Mojo 404 and SIP Challenge

I created this card for the Mojo Monday 404 sketch and combined with the SIP Challenge.

When I saw the colors from SIP Challenge, I instantly thought of Christmas!  When looking at MM404, I was like – “the Circle can be a snowflake” and thus this card was born.

SIP2 MM404 3 wm

I did a variety of different textures in the card with stencil sponging the ruby cardstock, dry embossing the slate cardstock, and Versamark with PearlEx for both the juniper cardstock and the sentiment.

SIP3 MM404 2 wm

The snowflake is cut out from the Cricut Art Philosophy.  I love the ease of cutting the two pieces and putting them together.  Added some prisma glitter and wahla  – the card is done.  Definitely a card for the Come and Play Card Buffet!!

Grad Cards

Here are some super cute grad cards I did last month and realized that I had not shared them!  So here they are:

Grad card 1 wm

I used B1480 Diploma Day and the Basic Fundamental Paper pack from our Speciality Paper Collection.  I love the neutral colors of this pack and how I could use the school colors as the accent colors as well as the shimmer trim. Be sure to check out our Fundamental Paper packs because they are so very useful.  Themes are nice to have but it’s nice to have papers you can mix and match to make your own theme without purchasing paper specifically for a theme.

I heat embossed the sentiment in silver.  I really like our new heat tool for this.  Check out our embossing supplies here.

These were fairly quick and easy to do grad cards.  Allowed me to get several done for all of the graduates.  =)
