Another one of my loves is watercolor backgrounds because watercolors make such dreamy backgrounds!
To create this background, I used a technique featured in the Annual Inspiration on page 55 “A Blot of Ink”.
I used a Z1938 sponge dauber (3 to be accurate) to put Lagoon, Smoothy, and Pear inks on the Y1012 4″x5″ block. With a Z1380 Spray Pen filled with water, I spritzed the block. More water makes it more diluted for color and you get a better spread of color.
You’ll get a different background every time you use this technique – part of why I love doing it. After I make the background, I put out what I need for the card.
Because I did not want to draw attention away from the background, I did not color in the sentiment.
Colored in the ice cream treats with ShinHan Touch Markers. Added Wink of Stella to add some shimmer. A few little gems added to the sentiment, I was happy with the card.

This is your last two days to get this awesome stamp set for $17.95 or $5.00 with a $50.00 purchase. Don’t miss out!!
Thanks for stopping by.
