I love to use scraps. Inspiration for this page struck when I saw a layout done by another Maker, Melissa, from the CTMH Maker FB Group. In my initial page here, I used some scraps of paper from my friend Susan Maxwell (Stampin’Up). We’ll be making another variation this page for Lunch Bunch, using CTMH Wonderland Papers.

We are going to do some mixed media to create a background, use some scraps, and create a Christmas Tree scrapbook page. Here’s some samples of the mixed media background:

Supplies for Lunch Bunch Projects:

• See attached above designs.

• 1 – 12” x 12” colored cardstock (C/S) that coordinates

• 1 – 11.5” x11.5” Daisy White or French Vanilla C/S

• 18 -21 – 6” x 1” – C/S or B&T (Background and Textured) aka Pattern paper that coordinate.

• 1 – 4.5” x 6.5” – Black C/S mat for 4×6 picture – you can change the color to coordinate w/ your colors/paper.

• 1 – 2.75” x 4.25” – Black C/S to mat sentiment. You may have to adjust the measurements to match your sentiment.

• 1 – 2.5” x 4” – White Daisy or French Vanilla to stamp sentiment on. You may have to adjust the measurements to match your sentiment.

• 1 – White Daisy sheet for stamping images and die cutting or fussy cutting out.  

• Stamp Set: Christmas set: Christmas Cheer Z3772 and Wonderland Scrapbooking Z4389

• Paper Collection: Wonderland is current.  Rest of them are from retired papers/other papers in my scrap bucket.

• Ink Pads – Intense Black/Memento (for alcohol marker coloring) or Archival Black, and matching ink pads for your stamps/paper.  You’ll need 3-6 ink pads or reinkers that work with the paper you are working with to create the background. 

• Coloring/Mixed Media supplies – your choice. I am using watercolor pencils or Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers along with ink pads, reinkers, watercolor brushes, sponges, and Shimmer Brush – clear and gold. White (Z5010) and Gilt (Z5009) Gloss Sprays. Small spray bottle filled with water. Craft/All Purpose Mat. Saran wrap or plastic bags.  Wet wipes/paper towels for cleanup.

• Embellishments (Prisma Glitter, ribbon, sequins, bitty gems, etc – use your stash up).

• Basic Supplies (12” paper trimmer, adhesive, glue dots, 3D Foam Tape, scissors, lifting tool, piercing tool, Versa Mat)

She put Christmas trees on cards. Instead of distressing the paper edges with scissors, she tore the paper. I love how we can create and inspire others to create. It’s quite lovely!

One of the best things about Disney is their photo pass and being able to get family pictures this way!

Adding Pearl Stickles to the Blossom Compliments created dimension and color.  I used Wink of Stella on the stickers as well.  I added the pain in the center of the sequins as well.

I really love the fonts used in the set.  I created the bokeh background with Pear, Lagoon, and Smoothie inks along with Daisy White pigment ink.

I heat embossed “Wonderful” and took a few stamps from another set D1627 “Your Own Kind of Wonderful” for the butterflies:

I did the corner with Pear Cardstock dry embossed with the  folder.   For the butterflies,  I inked part of the stamp with one color and the rest of the stamp with another color.  I used both first and second generation images.  I heat embossed the outline in black.

I used another stamp set D1651″Wavy Blooms” for the flower.  Used ShinHan Touch makers for the coloring.  Added Wink of Stella to the flowers and butterflies.

I did the banner on both the inside and outside of the card.

Colored in the ice cream and the cone with the watercolor pencils.

I used our glue pen to trace the lighter stripes down the background paper and covered it with prisma glitter.  I used Wink of Stella on the ice cream.

There is a 2nd challenge from Simon Says Stamp to use our favorite Ranger products. I used the Tim Holtz Distressing inks – Faded Jeans to do a rubbed on/direct to paper technique.

I changed the matting color on this card to Thistle because the panel blended into the Outdoor Denim too much.

Same with coloring in the butterflies.  I changed this. I opted to stamp in the Outdoor Denim dye based ink  and cover with Stickles.  The dye base ink allows bleeding from the image into the Ranger Stickles Diamond Glitter Glue (another must have). I wanted to get a watercolored look with the Stickles.

Add a few pearl embellishments from my stash.  Just loved making this card!  It’s so cool to see how you can use the same sketch and get two different looking cards by changing the background technique and how you embellish or color!

X7196B Blossom is the paper I used for this card.  Just love how “summery” it looks.  I used the Sunset reinker with acrylic paint to color in the ice cream.  ShinTouch Markers for the cone, layering the color to get my shading.

Some doodling and glitter gems for bling.  Make for a fun, fast card (short of the paint drying).  We’ll add it to the Come and Play Card Buffet!

It’s a very cute set.  Everyone in our family loves ice cream. This layout captures the bittersweet final 24 hours of our sweet dog, Ginger’s time with us.  When we let SG know this was Ginger’s last night with us because she was so sick, SG was so heartbroken and upset.   When we asked what would help her out, SG decided she would stay with Ginger, to include sleeping with her, so Ginger would never been alone!  SG took a bad situation and made it as positive as it could be. SG was going to be there to help Ginger whenever, hence “Lemonaide”.

This is one of those great layouts inspired from the “Make It From Your Heart – Vol 2”.   Just love these books when you are stumped.

I used E1027 – Framework Alphabet – to create the title.  I think this has to be one of my favorite alphabet stamp set because you can color it in.

I stamped the lemons in Canary and rolled the edges with Topiary.  I fussy cut them out.  Coated them with Z679 Liquid Glass and let them dry overnight.  I used Z1919 Purple Shimmer Trim to accent the pennants.

Over the “Lemonaide”, I used the  Z553 Bonding Memories Glue Pen and coated it with Prisma Glitter.
