I saw this card created by Sandy Zimmer and fell in love. I have a thousand other projects waiting but this card cried out to be created and I finally indulged my heart earlier this week. Isn’t it amazing. I used lots of fun products to create the backgrounds. A word of warning, this is an inky fingers, messy background card and I love it! The stamp sets I used are:
I’m not sure why I didn’t use the sentiments from this set because they are great. I used the “Dream Big” sentiment from:
Anyway, great news is you have choices of great sentiments. You’ll use the Stitched Rectangle thin cut dies, using the middle sized one, to cut the Sapphire frame and the White Daisy center. These dies are an investment for projects to come. You can also use the dies from Deep Blue to cut out all the different shapes so you’ll be ready to stamp them.
You’ll need to have ink pads, reinkers, shimmer brushes (Bluebird and Sapphire), sponges, spray bottle, and craft mat (very important). I’d have wet wipes, stamp shammy, and rag as this is a messy process. Shimmer brushes are used to create the background right on the card. Sponges are used to create the background on the White Daisy rectangle, then spritzing with water. The backgrounds will need time to dry.

You can watch this video from my FB live showing you who to create this here:
Stamp the images you want on the dies cuts you’ve done. The seahorse is stamped in Archival Black and the rest of the images in Sapphire ink. You’ll color them with the Spectrum markers, reinker, and watercolor depending on your preference.
Then you’ll assemble the card. You are going to be doing a lot of layering – behind and under. Add glue carefully. 3D foam dot the seahorse. Then go over the stamped images with a clear shimmer brush for a little more glitz. I didn’t add any other embellishments because there are so many other elements going on in the card.

I hope you enjoyed this card. It definitely inspired me to create.
