You’re The Best

I created this card for a swap and it’s also on the Come and Play Card Buffet. Because mass production was involved, I’ve created a Design Space file to ease my cutting. The paper pack used is Gimme Some Sugar (how cute is that?) along with Zesty Best.

The image is watercolored with ink pads: Lemon, Juniper, Tangerine, and Blossom using a small round watercolor pen. I love that it’s loaded with water and you wipe it off a few times between different colors. While closed, squeeze the top of the lid to the ink pad and open. You’ll have ink in the top of the lid on the palette for watercoloring. I did a “swipe” method, where I just swiped the color on and did not worry about getting the entire area covered. If I wanted a little more color for shading, I did a smaller swipe. There are some white highlights here and there. There is a more whimsical look that goes well with the Gimme Some Sugar Paper Pack.

Once dried, take the Gold Shimmer Brush and go over the fruit, berries, and word “Best”. Add a few bitty sparkles to the card and it done.
