You Warm My Heart
My goodness, after waking up yesterday to 15 degrees Fahrenheit, this card is perfect! It’s sure to warm your heart up and I love the color family to depict cold. Using some blues (to go with COLD) and one of my favorite, retired stamp sets from CTMH, I created this fun card. I think the paper came from Lily of the Valley. The card base is made from Espresso (how appropriately named for the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop) cardstock, 6″x 6″ – a 12″ x 6″, scored at 6″ and folded in half.
The cup is 2nd generation stamped in Pacifica, then silver heat embossed. Same with the steam. Fussy cut them both out. Use a liquid glue and prisma glitter on the steam to make it all sparkly to go with the snowflakes on the purple background and texture paper. Mount on the stitched circle (Simon Says Stamp). “You warm my heart” is stamped in Black Archival Ink.
Cut various sized pennants from left over paper. Those cute little snowflake sequins are from Kat Scrappiness! Their iridescent look is so fun and compliments the prisma glitter on the steam. Those wonderful purple glitter gems are a sneak peak at what’s coming in January from CTMH. The other glitter gems are retired CTMH. You’ll want to check those out for sure. I promise super cute, fun paper to match them!! 😉
Stamp the inside of the card with Pacifica. 2nd generation the cup and then 1st generation with the words over the top. I just had to add the prisma glitter on the steam! It makes it more fun! Be sure to stop and check out the Winter Coffee Lovers’ Blog Hop and even play. There are some amazing artists and work on it.
