Christmas Tunes

The October Stamp of the Month is S1710 Christmas Tunes. Hard to believe that it’s time for Christmas Card making, right? Time has definitely flown this year. Here’s the first of a few cards with this set. Using the Very Beary Paper Pack (super cute) for the poinsettia paper as well as the other patterned paper used on the card.

Cuts:

Base Card 4.25″ x 8.5″, score at the 4.25″ mark and fold (make sure the fold is on the top. Round corners of the card base and all the rest of the pieces.
Cranberry base is 4″x4″
Poinsettia paper is 3.75″x 3.75″
NEI Background strip is 3.75″ x .75″
Red Shimmer Trim is 3.75″
2nd Cranberry Piece is 3.25″x 3.25″
Circle from the Fa La La paper (in the Very Beary Paper Pack) – 3″ – Cut on the Cricut. Stamp in Cranberry Ink Pad. Don’t forget our ink pads are now magnetic! Color the leaves with Vivid Green Shin Touch.
Stamp “O Holy Night” in Fern and fussy cut. Use 3D foam tape to pop it up.
Adhere the Cranberry Panel 2″ down and centered on the cardbase
Embellish with Bitty Sparkles. Color them with the Carmine Shin Touch Marker. I did not do this but recommend doing it for future cards.

Red Shimmer Tape is great because it’s sticky tape and makes application super easy. Adding glitter anything to a card adds the bling to catch the eye.

Finish off the card with bitty gems. Now, looking at the card, I’ll go back and color the gems in red with our Shin Han Touch Markers. The nice thing about clear gems and white pearls is you can make them any color you need them to be with the alcohol markers. They dry fast!
