First day of school

Today is Sarah Grace’s first day of third grade! Time has just flown by. It’s hard to believe she’s starting her fourth year of school. As with tradition, there’s the first day of school picture:

Always have to do something for the teachers. Their marathon has just begun. Here’s the “Welcome Back to School” gifts for the teachers:

Jeff made these awesome cookies for the teachers. He is the best baker and I’m so glad he could do that while I made bag toppers for the Ziplock bags. Adding toppers dresses the bag up and is fun to because you can personalize the bag as well as show what occasions it’s for.

Basic directions:

The base of the topper is 7.5″ x 6″ and cut from Sapphire cardstock.
Score at the 3″ mark on the 6″ side and fold in half.
Cut a piece of White Daisy cardstock 2.5″ x 5.5″ and glued to the base.
Cut the Design Space file above out using the colors as you desire.

After creating these, we attached a card to the back of the topper with a “Welcome Back” note to thank SG’s teachers for being a part of her teaching team for the next year. Teaching is hard work and we appreciate their efforts. We also want them to know they can contact us for any reason, whether they need classroom supplies or otherwise.
