Scenic View

We’ve been traveling the North-East States this summer  and I’m super excited about our new Cricut Cartridge, You Are Here.  This card is made in Design Space today using the new exclusive Cricut Cartridge, You Are Here.   There is so much you can do with this cartridge.

It meets a Team Challenge of using our new Basic Palette.  I used Heather for the mountains.  It also meets the 112 Challenge by Stamp Ink Paper to create something reflecting travel.

 Making this card

• Cut your 12×12 White Daisy cardstock into a 4.25″ by 11″ strip.
• Score at the 5.5″ mark and fold.  Cut 3″ off the bottom of the card and then cut the 3″ piece in half, saving one for the bottom of the card.
• You’ll need a 2″ by 4.25″ piece of transparency for this.
• The card folds from the top.  You attach the transparency between the top of the card and the bottom of the card, creating a window.

Using Design Space, you can use this link to create the pieces of the card.  https://design.cricut.com/#/design/66568097.  I cut the out the pieces in Sapphire and the Jack Paper (retire at the end of the month).  The mountain is cut from our new Heather cardstock (and it’s two-toned) and Black.  The Black and White Dots and the Red Enamel Gems are great accents on this card.

On the tag on the front of the card, stamp the sentiment.  The inside of the card is stamped so you can’t see it from the front, under the mountains.  I used this great stamp set B1565 New Adventures:

Colored the mountains in, using some shading but not good blending (funny what you see after you take the pictures).  Need to go back and fix that.  Use the Shimmer Brush to top the mountains off.
