Oh What Fun we had

I made this swing card from the Artfully Sent cartridge “Oh What Fun”

I played with this for a bit before I was completely happy with it.  I used the White Pines paper.  I needed the saying to stand out so putting Fern cardstock behind it make it pop.

 

I played with the different shades of the paper to see what would look best were on the front.  If you completely covered the front with either pattern, the words got lost so I only used some on one side of the front of the card and put the other back side.

I made two different inserts playing with the stamp set (D1666 Believe in Christmas) which has some great traditional images (see below).

I have a bunch of the Stickles Pearl paints which I get from my friend Lisa Hamrick at the crops we vend at.  I used different colors to make the ornaments on the tree stand out, on Santa, and on the cut out to make it stand out (used paint brushes to do this).  I think the pearl lends to the traditional look of the stamps.
