Last week (or later) I did the MojoMonday aka MM 425 Sketch and the SIP Color Challenge. I’ve been meaning to use this sweet bear from D1556 Miracle of Christmas, for a bit and glad I got the chance to!
Challenges:
I was not sure of the colors at first but ended up really like how it turned out!! I actually designed the card on Design Space so it cut all the parts out for me…love! I like how the layers worked on this card. On the base, I used the gold foil trim to add a little bling.
Then on the first layer, rectangle, I 2nd generation stamped in hollyhock the sayings. I stamped the sentiment on top in Archival Black in.
I stamped, colored with ShinHan Touch Makers, and fussy cut out the bear and layered him on top of the circle layer. There is some Wink-of-Stella for some shimmer (I need to take out stock in that company – LOL)
The last layer is a stamp from S1510 Twinkle (October’s SOM). I 3-d foam dotted this layer up. Added a few sequins for balance and called it good.
While the colors did not initially strike me as holiday colors it worked out well. This card will be one for the Come and Play Card Buffet coming up on this Saturday, Dec 12. We have CropTastic from 12-9pm. Card Buffets and WOTG are done from 12-3pm. You can stay longer if you need or want to.
