This is a simple card to communicate the Joy and Peace of the season. Which we should experience but we tend to drive ourselves nuts and don’t. I love creating background and have several stamps in my stash, long retired or other companies.
I cut a circle and put it where the “moon” is and sponged the background. I used Sapphire ink to do the sponging. You create the depth by laying or going over one area until you get it as dark as you want it. I use the CTMH sponge and cut into at least 4-6 pieces so it’s a great value!
Following this, I stamped the trees with Archival Black ink, using first and second generation images to create the scene. In hind sight and looking at this as I post it, I would have taken the moon mask when stamping the trees because they would have been in front of the moon, not behind it.
The sentiment captures the feeling I was trying to communicate with the scene. Since the card was fairly simple, I did up the inside:
Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. May you have an occasion full of joy and peace with your family and friends!
