It’s September and my post says “Season’s Greetings”. I know. It seems too soon to be talking about Christmas, right? For the Come and Play Card Buffet, it’s time to start adding in some Christmas Cards for you all to make over the upcoming months! Here’s the first card:
I’m using this super cute stamp set, B1483 Season’s Greetings. The penguins are so stinkin’ cute and one of my besties love penguins. How can I not make this card for her?
Used our new Sapphire cardstock (love the rich blue) cut slightly smaller than the card base. Dry embossed a white panel to layer on top with the snowflakes (not CTMH – one of the folders I’ve had for a long time). After I dry embossed, I cut the panel in two, smaller piece on top, leaving a strip of the sapphire peaking out from in between the two panels.
I stamped the pennant and went around with a silver gel pen. Matted this on sapphire then used 3D foam tape to “pop” it up. After this, I stamped those cute penguins on scrap daisy white paper in Memento Ink. Colored them with the ShinHan Touch markers.
I went over the top of the marker with some glitter gel pens for the red and blue scarves. On the purple, I took silver Wink-a-Stella to shimmer up the hat. I finished off with the silver string I had in my stash.
Thanks for stopping by. Come on over one Saturday and do the “Come and Play Card Buffet”! Lots of fun. The next one is September 26, 2015.
Don’t forget the Open House will be this weekend!! Even if you have not RSVPed, please stop by! You can pick up a copy of the Annual Inspirations and Holiday Expressions for free!
