Spray Pens….

One of my most favorite accessories to use from CTMH is our Spray Pens.  They are inexpensive and easy to use.   Are you familiar with the Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels?  Ever looked at cards or scrapbook pages which have “splatter patterns” or “spray patterns” on them?    It’s so easy to create that effect with these pens.

You need to have a dye based reinker for an stamp pad. While I’m using CTMH reinkers, any dye base reinker will work.

The spray pens have lines on the side to measure the amount of reinker you add.  I normally put 2 lines worth in there.  If you want a darker spray, add more reinker and less of the medium.  Add either water, reinker, or irridensent effects medium.    On my sample, I’m actually doing some masking as well.  For spray masking, I like to use Masking Paper from Inkadinkado because it complete sticks down allowing area to be protected from the spray.

You can see the star shape (which I cut out using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge).  With the pens, you’ll never get the same pattern twice.  Each card or page will be unique.

The cost of these pens is $3.95 and a reinker for $4.95.   Each pen is about $1.32. The reinkers will last forever between reinking the pads or making spray pens.  It’s less than $0.25 per each use of reinker.  Your cost for each pen: $$1.55 vs $6.95 for a bottle of Glimmer Mist!  Great savings!!  Thanks for stopping by!
