Well Done

We all need cards to give which say “Well Done”! Another favorite card picked out by my May 16th hostess is this card, from the first Seasonal Expressions:

I changed it up the Well Done card, a tad, not much to create this card for the Come and Play Card Buffet. I added more matting and distressing, plus shortening up the front panel. I used the dry embossing folder, Z3020 Diamond Embossing Folder , to emboss the X5171 Flaxen cardstock used as the base. I distressed the edges with Z2642 Flaxen ink pad and a sponge dauber.

For the panel with the butterflies, I used the Z1380 spray pens to make my own “Shimmer Mist” (way less expensive ) with our reinkers and some white pearl paint from your local craft store. Here I used the Sunset reinker. I embossed in silver, the base image – very collage-ish, which I love. We stamped the butterflies out in different colors, fussy cutting them.

The panel is matted with Outdoor Denim (OOD)which has been distressed using my micro-tipped scissors. The butterflies are 3D foam taped to dimension. The tag is cut from the Cricut and matted with OOD, also cut from the Cricut. I used the “Well Done” sentiment stamp from the set (no longer available as it was a limited time hostess set). I tied it off with some extra silver cording in my stash.
