Last month my niece was here visiting during her spring break. She wanted to make a birthday card for a friend. He likes trains and here’s the card we created!

We found several different images through Cricut Design Space. We started off with Z3017 Artfully Sent, one Close To My Heart’s exclusive cartridges, to create the front of the card. I have created a Design Space file from the Artfully Sent for a pop-up card which you can use any images.
We did a search for “trains”, “smoke”, and “sun”. With the images she picked out, we created the above. My niece found a “Happy Birthday” stamp set to use (retired CTMH). We took the cut-outs from the front of the card and put them on the bottom, around the stamped image.

We put paper pieced the train together – put it on the center so it pops up when you open the card. Attached the smoke. Paper pieced the clouds and sun and put it on the sky. She loved what we created and so do I. It’s great to spend creative time with a young person.

This is beautiful and exactly what I’m looking for to make for my model railroader Dad’s 96th birthday! How do I find the project in Design Space?
Donna, I created this myself by combining different images in Design Space. Here is the file: https://design.cricut.com/#/design/27153964
If you don’t have any of these images and need to purchase them, please use my Cricut Affiliate link. It will not affect your costs at all.
