Orange You Sweet!

My friend Di brought over a card sample and I took the design of the card and created “Orange You Sweet”. The cards are totally different. It’s really amazing to me how different people can interpret a design and come up with totally different cards!

Anyway, this card features the Taste Of Summer Papers and Stamp Set, both of which I love!!

I embossed the white cardstock with a Versamark pad and white embossing powder. I used various reinkers and my water pen (which CTMH no longer sells but I still love) to create a water color background. I did not leave the paper under a heavy book long enough for it to dry flat, which I should have done.

I stamped using a “rock and roll technique” to get the different colors on the fruit (always start with your lighter ink first).

I covered the inside of the fruit with a lot of liquid glass. I let them dry overnight to be sure they were dry before I added them to the card. I liked how the card opens up. It’s different and fun. I had some lime colored bakers twine in my stash which I used to finish it off.
