We needed to have a flexible object for SG’s schedule so I made one with the Chalkboard Frame. I’ve had this around in my stash since the beginning of the new Annual Inspirations but never got around to doing something with it.
Red is not one of our colors so we changed it. I sanded down the frame a little bit to allow the new paint to adhere better. I did the first coat in white paint (picked up from your local craft store). Then SG picked out the Z2295 Lagoon Reinker. We mixed the reinker in with the white paint until we got a color she liked. A couple of coats of this until we liked the way it looked:

I used the Cricut to cut the vinyl letters out. Chalk to create the schedule. This created the flex we needed to adjust things as she changes or life changes.

SG is very pleased with the end product! I like that it’s on the wall, at her height and easily readable by all of us. If she’s got an extra activity on a Monday night vs a Thursday afternoon, we can adjust the schedule quickly. The end color goes well with her room or our living area.
Added bonus is that the frame is magnetic so we can change or add magnets to it. I know the vinyl can be removed should we need to alter the use of the frame, adding more flex/usefulness over the years. It’s nice to create some home decor that can be easily changed as the needs change. It becomes an investment.
Hugs and Happy Creating!
