15 Minute Card with Freshly Made Sketches

I created this card in about 15 minutes once I decided what I was going to do with it.  The Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week is perfect for this stamp set, A1173 The Best Dad Ever and I needed to create a card for my Come and Play Card Buffet.    It’s great when all things fall in line.  The sketch and card look like this:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m using X7195B Jackson Paper Packet which is released tomorrow (April 1, 2015 – click the link and type in “Jackson”).  I love that we have a great masculine paper that you can also make feminine (check back later this month to see that card).   I have some customers who are not particularly fond of masking so I decided to stamp the image for the card in Cocoa.  I took another piece of paper and restamped it in Glacier, Barn Red, and Juniper, cutting out the words I wanted from those images.  I use 3D foam to pop those images up.

 

 

I took the saying “Hello Awesome” from one of the “zip strips”.  Zip strips are on the top of the background and texture paper and you cut them off before using the sheet.  They have lots of useful information on them to make your crafting easier.  CTMH had the brilliant idea to put patterns/words on the backside of the strip, so it’s essentially two sided, so we can use the strip in our crafting.  Not piece wasted!!  I cut out “Hello Awesome” from one of the zip strips, mounting it on 3D tape, creating the banner.  I used our new sequins to finish off the card.

All and all, great card for some special guy!
