Note to self – Join the fun!

I created this card to remind us not to forget to join the fun!  This is a combination of the July Stamp of the Month, S1607 From the Notebook and C1648 Carnival Fun.I’m entering this card into the Heart 2 Heart challenge!

IMG_3315 wmSometimes we ladies get too focused on our “to-do” lists and the stress of juggling too many hats and a too full calendar.  This card is just a reminder to add “join the fun” to our never ending lists because life goes by too quickly to miss it.

Speaking of the fun, this card looks like a lot of work but it’s not, which makes it nice.  “From the Notebook” images are cut out with the Cricut Cartridge Artistry Collection and “Carnival Fun” has a matching thin cut!   “Easy peasy lemon squeezy” as my daughter likes to say.

I used a mix of thin 3D foam tape and regular 3D foam tape to create different layers in the card.  This allowed me to overlap the images and create the clustering.

I used my Ranger Liquid Pearls to add color and dimension to the popcorn and mustard on the corn dog here.  I also used them to put the chocolate on the ice cream.

I added some of the yellow to the popcorn to make it look like it was buttered.  This would be a great card for the foodie who loves the movie or carnival foods!

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day,

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone!  What a blessing we live in the USA.  When I look at the World News, I am even more grateful.

4th of July 2

Here’s a card not celebrating the 4th per say, but the color and stars lend to the celebration of today.

After all the USA is fabulous to live in (consider your options or worst case scenerios).  It’s a fun card featuring the July SOM S1607 From the Notebook.

The stars come from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge which is retiring July 31, 2016!  I covered the stars with Stardust Stickles.

The tag and circle were cut from Cricut Artistry Collection.  I love not having to fussy cut!  I will stamp my tags and such while they are still on the Circut cutting mat.  I’ll place the mat on top of our Versamat which is flipped to the foam side for stamping.

I hope you have a safe, fun, and happy 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by creative corner of the internet!
