This collection is amazing and I can’t wait for mine to arrive. Watercolor is one of my favorite ways to color and express myself . This stamp set is designed to make it look like you water-colored these beautiful flowers.

It’s a happy day when I get to use my scraps.   At the end of a pack, I always have some scraps, don’t you?  Here’s a card using those scraps up. I used scraps from the Central Park paper along with some scraps for my scrap bucket to make this card.

There’s a sheet in each paper pack that has these great cards on it formats, titles, and journaling. With one of them I created this “Happy Day” card. It has a fun watercolor balloon on it and says happy day. Using some scrap background and texture paper to help create the base, some scraps of cranberry and gold glitter paper, this came together fairly quickly.

Embellish with some leftover Central Park sequins and put gold glitter gems in the middle of the sequins. The background paper is Linen, which is a gray color. The gray twine helps pull that in. The gold shimmer brush adds some flare to the balloon.

Here is the card for you.  The March Stamp of the Month (SOM) is a great set for any of us to have because we all have people around us with birthdays.  Using the Stargazer paper pack is great for making a card that is more masculine or for a boy.

Use your journaling pen to doodle around the outside of the card and the sentiment tag.  The Shin Touch Golden Yellow Marker is used to color in the “Happy”.  Remember to use the Memento Ink Pad to stamp anything you plan to color with alcohol markers so you’ll have less bleeding of the black ink into your coloring.

White twine and the Stargazer dots add finishing touches to the card.  Create  your dovetail by following this diagram.  I can’t get things quite right on the diagram.

Wow…Here are some fun cards with a Design Space file for a coffee shaped card that I made over 2 years ago and used many times over.  I’ve included the DS file for you.  There were several different Pins and posts from the Coffee Lovers’ Blog Hop that inspired this creative set of cards.  All the papers used are from CTMH.  The stamps are retired CTMH stamps, with the exception of the “Haunted Cup” card which features “Cats and Bats Cardmaking Stamp set and dies.” The sentiment about “Pumpkin Spice” is from Sugar Pea Designs.

SG (my daughter) gave names to each of the Brew Crew cards.  I had wanted all the cards to be “brew” cards but she felt strongly that the Cat card needed to be “Cat Coffee” , not “Cat’s Brew”.

This card is made from a sample from the 50 Card swap. We used it for our Holiday Come and Play Card Buffet!  I used the Z4015 Woodland Wishes Thin Cut bundle to create this card.  I love the clean cuts you get when cutting images out with the thin cuts.

There are a few layers in here to create dimension the card without creating the need for extra postage or hand postage.    The base is done with some natural cardstock that CTMH used to sell that I found in my stash.  I’m in a use my stash mode.

Cut a Colonial panel out so it’s nested or framed by the natural cardstock.  Tear the bottom Colonial so it looks like it’s snow.  Stamp the images you need to stamp and cut those out with the thin cuts.  Create the layers by laying the thin cut tree so it slightly overlaps the stamped tree.  Have the deer have one set of feet slightly under the torn cardstock and slightly over the top of it.

To create this background, I used a technique featured in the Annual Inspiration on page 55 “A Blot of Ink”.

I used a Z1938 sponge dauber (3 to be accurate) to put Lagoon, Smoothy, and Pear inks on the Y1012 4″x5″ block.  With a Z1380 Spray Pen filled with water, I spritzed the block.  More water makes it more diluted for color and you get a better spread of color.

You’ll get a different background every time you use this technique – part of why I love doing it.  After I make the background, I put out what I need for the card.

Because I did not want to draw attention away from the background, I did not color in the sentiment.

Colored in the ice cream treats with ShinHan Touch Markers.  Added Wink of Stella to add some shimmer.  A few little gems added to the sentiment, I was happy with the card.

I used S1506 Ice Cream Dreams – I love the font on the sentiments in this set.

I did the banner on both the inside and outside of the card.

Colored in the ice cream and the cone with the watercolor pencils.

I used our glue pen to trace the lighter stripes down the background paper and covered it with prisma glitter.  I used Wink of Stella on the ice cream.

It’s funny how you can see something from the sketch!

I used D1627 Your Own Kinds of Wonderful stamp set.  I did some 1st and 2nd generation of the butterflies.  I used Stickles Diamond Glitter Glue on the 2nd generation butterflies to pull out some of the color from the ink, giving the glitter glue a light blue water color effect.

I colored the butterflies with the ShinHan Touch Markers.  I used Wink of Stella Clear to add shimmer to the colored butterflies.  The stitching is a stamp (I love all stitching that can be done by stamps or dies!).  It was definitely fun to play in this challenge plus get some other things taken care of!

All product are Close to My Heart except the Stickles I dug out a very old stamp set – Coffee Stain. We love all things coffee in our house so I tend to keep these sets long past their retirement date!  I used one of my favorites from the Seasonal Expressions, C1616 Treats of Friendship:

I took Jackson Paper, Colonial White Card from the Value Pack, Cocoa paper, and Memento Cocoa ink.  Little distressing with ink, some Stickles, Enameled Hearts, and lots of random stamping:

X7196B Blossom is the paper I used for this card.  Just love how “summery” it looks.  I used the Sunset reinker with acrylic paint to color in the ice cream.  ShinTouch Markers for the cone, layering the color to get my shading.

Some doodling and glitter gems for bling.  Make for a fun, fast card (short of the paint drying).  We’ll add it to the Come and Play Card Buffet!
