Kids and Whoo’s…..

Well, I got brave over the weekend and did a “Whooo’s Your Valentine” workshop with 3 kids.  We did a simple version of the treat tubes.  The kids loved the stamping and gluing parts of the workshop.  We made 72 valentine treat tubes for them!!

The kids are looking forward to adding some sweet treats to them.  Don’t miss your chance to get this sweet deal with the cutest owl stamps!!

Stretching out

I follow Brenda Rose, a dear friend and wonderful paper artist, who led me to   Iwona “Chupa” Palamountain’s blog. The world is very small on the internet!  Chupa is another very talented paper artist. Chupa puts up sketch challenges.  While I’ve never joined or entered into her challenges, I do LOVE the creativity it sparks.

I made this card from our January SOM “Happy Valentine’s” in two different fashions.  One using the smaller roses (2 of them) and another using 1 larger rose.  I varied the ink for the sentiment.  I colored the roses in with our wonderful Alcohol Markers!  These will make great thank you notes!!  I used the Cricut AP to cut out the scalloped circle and the layer.

Smitten for Shoes

Who would have though my little one would fall for shoes so soon?  I needed a pair of shoes for an outfit.  I took her along.  Before I knew it, she was busy trying on shoes to see if she could wear “big girl shoes”.  She had  a great time and so did everyone watching her!

I used the Clementine Paper Kit to create this layout.  I used the January SOM , “Happy Valentine’s”.  I used the Cricut to cut my title.  I used our die-cut hearts, exclusive inks, and our glitter gel to make my heart embellishments.  I even added a little bit of glitter to my paper accents  – red and almond! Glitter Glue rocks !  The CTMH Alcohol Markers are the best for coloring as you get two markers for each color – for your main color and shading!  I love our pearl embellishments – add a touch of elegance.  Add them to our wooden butterflies for some dimension.  You can get everything you need by Shopping here!

SG might be smitten for shoes….I’m smitten for her!!!

Bling and Alcohol Markers!

Another discovery!  You can use your alcohol markers for adding color to your clear, white pearls, or white metal establishments.  For the purpose of this entry, I’m using clear gems.  You color the top of the embellishment with your alcohol marker.  I used the brush end of the marker.  You can deepen the color by adding layers – just allow one layer to dry before adding the next one.

Results?  Embellishments which really add to my card!

Big “Thanks” to my friend Linda Black for sharing this nifty tip with me!  Get your clear, pearl, or white bling and alcohol markers by Shopping here!
