Creating Session!!

I’m working on getting some new samples done for the upcoming Open House in August so I had a creative session to get something done!   Bless the sketches and challenges. I’m so appreciative and glad of those who create these challenges for us.

The first challenge is from Mojo Monday 457. I used a pumpkin instead of a square for the sketch.

Here are some sneak peaks to new products.  I’m enjoying working with them. The next one is for the Atlantic Hearts Sketches Challenges 169:

For the Muse, I created this card from it:

Then, last but not least, I create a variation of the above card using the Color My Heart Dare 202:

Let’s Ride

The second Workshop Your Way (WYW) layout is “Let’s Ride”

IMG_2816 wm

It’s a simple layout where you can put plenty of pictures, especially when I add the flip flaps.  I have some pictures of SG and her Dad headed out on a bike ride that I plan to use on this one.

“Let’s ride” is from the Compliments.  I have to say, if you are not in the mood to stamp, the Compliments make your life 100% easier.  Add your title and a few other things from the packet and it times it all together.

On the right side, the journal block comes from the Picture My Life page.  Just cut it up and you have mats for pictures, journal blocks, and embellishments!  So easy.

Love this little banner!  The sequins and white twine are all a part of the WYW.  The Magical Sequins are great because the colors are primary and have some many different uses.  Remember, you can download the layouts and cutting instructions HERE.   While I like to be creative, sometimes I really like the ease and simplicity of the WYW.

It’s a Party!

It’s a Party and this card says it all!.  It’s a pocket card with a pull out.  I love interactive cards and you can make this with the Cricut.IMG_3080 wm

Features the Magical Paper packs and and “Carnival Time” C1648.  It’s a combination of the cut font and the stamping.

What fun to pull out the card to get the invite information.  I think it’s a fun way to do the invites.   You could use this design for a movie night with the girls, an ice cream making party, or more.  It doesn’t just have to just be kid’s birthday party.

IMG_3084 wmI thank my friend DeAnn Buser for the inspiration for this card!  It’s just awesome to have her part of my swapping team!

Note to self – Join the fun!

I created this card to remind us not to forget to join the fun!  This is a combination of the July Stamp of the Month, S1607 From the Notebook and C1648 Carnival Fun.I’m entering this card into the Heart 2 Heart challenge!

IMG_3315 wmSometimes we ladies get too focused on our “to-do” lists and the stress of juggling too many hats and a too full calendar.  This card is just a reminder to add “join the fun” to our never ending lists because life goes by too quickly to miss it.

Speaking of the fun, this card looks like a lot of work but it’s not, which makes it nice.  “From the Notebook” images are cut out with the Cricut Cartridge Artistry Collection and “Carnival Fun” has a matching thin cut!   “Easy peasy lemon squeezy” as my daughter likes to say.

IMG_3316 wm

I used a mix of thin 3D foam tape and regular 3D foam tape to create different layers in the card.  This allowed me to overlap the images and create the clustering.

IMG_3317 wm

I used my Ranger Liquid Pearls to add color and dimension to the popcorn and mustard on the corn dog here.  I also used them to put the chocolate on the ice cream.

IMG_3319 wm

I added some of the yellow to the popcorn to make it look like it was buttered.  This would be a great card for the foodie who loves the movie or carnival foods!

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day,

Let’s Have some fun

Let’s have some fun with Carnival Fun, a stamp and thincut combo!  I love anything I don’t have to fussy cut.

IMG_2981 wm

Using the Magical Paper Pack (all supplies below), C1648 Carnival Fun and the matching thincut dies, Z3229, you can create this fun card.  I prefer to stamp my image first and then use the thincuts.  I purchased a magnetic platform for my Cuttlebug from Simon Says Stamps which holds the thincut in place when cutting.  I find this much easier than trying to stamp on the cut out image.

IMG_2984 wm

Use the different colored inks to do your stamping.  I love how clean the edges are from the thincuts.  Never in a million years, would my fussy cutting look this good.  The film strip is created by cutting a strip of the black background and texture paper (B&T) and then cutting out squares of the blue B&T.  Add a little dimension by using the thin 3D foam tape under the squares and stamped images.

IMG_2982 wm

Stamp “party” and “join in the fun” in Cranberry ink.  Distress the edges of the card and the yellow B&T.  Use a few sequins from the Magical collection to finish the card off.  Super fun and super easy.

Huge thanks to DeAnn B, one of my swappers, for the inspiration of this card!  Thanks for stopping by and have a fun day!
