I love swimming card

I’m getting ready for a card swap I’m playing in where I drew a set about swimming. It was definitely a challenge for me to do.

PH Diving wm

I used the Regatta Papers and Play Hard Diving stamp set.

B1514 Play Hard Diving regatta papers

I love the Regatta paper, particularly the ombre pattern.

I used both Sapphire and Glacier inks for the stamping.  The bottom strip is the “zip strip” – that top piece you cut off the 12×12 papers.  CTMH puts a pattern on the backside of the strip so it’s usable.  The red enameled hearts worked well to offset all the blue and match the diver.

I stamped the diver in Ruby and fussy cut it out.  Popped the sentiment (cut from the Cricut Artistry Collection– yeah!) and the diver up.  Good thing I know a few people who like swimming.   Thanks for stopping by!

Life’s Good with MM428

Last week I created this Life’s Good card based on the MM428 sketch:

I worked the new Penelope Papers featured in the Seasonal Expression.  The tag is embossed with the floral embossing folder, one of my favorites.  Don’t forget that the CTMH folders have a 4″ slit at the top of it so you can emboss of 4″x12″ paper strip for your scrapbooking pages!

I added distressing around the tag in Canary ink.  I love the new gold and white ribbon.  I actually had stapled the ribbon onto the top of the tag, the decided it needed a bow.

Life’s Good is a stamp from the set C1635 Our Story.   The set works with Cricut Artistry Collection!  It’s stamped and distressed with Crystal Blue ink.  Here’s the sketch:

This card might show in the Come and Play Card Buffet because everyone needs a Life’s Good card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Just discovered Sugar Pea Designs

I was looking around online and discovered Sugar Pea Designs and their sketch challenge, SPDSS36. I created this card:

Here’s the sketch….

I rotated it clockwise for the card. I used La Vie En Rose papers and compliments on the card.

I’m not sure this is my favorite card because I think the background is too busy or I need to change what I have on the white circle.   I’ll have to think on it.

I may redo the design because you can enter again…and how doesn’t love another chance to win? I sure don’t mind!  There’s a chance to win $25.00 or $75.00 (if you use Sugar Pea Design stamps).  I don’t have any Sugar Pea Design stamps…yet…….

Love you with January SOM

This is a quick, sweet ‘Love You” card using the January Stamp of the Month (SOM), Beloved Bouquet:

S1601 Card 1

I used the La En Vie Rose paper to make this card, using the front and backside of a double sided background and texture paper.

La En Vie Rose Paper Pack

This paper is great for Valentine’s Day as well as most weddings as the black will go with whatever the wedding  colors are!

Red shimmer trim, covers the seam of the two papers and adds a more finished look.  The black/gold ribbon is new and I love it!

S1601 Card 1 b wm

The cute little tag with the sentiment stamped in Pomegranate Ink and attached to the bow with gold cording.  A black enameled gem was used to finish it off.   This card will part of the January Card Buffet so you can get your Valentine’s card done!  Thanks for stopping by.

Sending you so hugs with FMS218

I had a few scraps left around my table from working with La Vie En Rose and saw the FMS218 sketch and thought..I could make that work! Here’s what I did:

FMS218 sending hugs wm

Here’s the sketch.

I used a pennant from the La Vie En Rose compliments to stamp “Sending Hugs” on it. I have a friend who needs a pick me up.

Used both a Pink Wink of Stella and Clear Wink of Stella on the rose after coloring it with watercolor pencils.

Love when you can pull one more card out of the scraps! Thanks for stopping by.  Have a creative day. =)
